Shenmue nullDC save not loading

I want to play the PAL version of Shenmue on nullDC but whenever I save my game and reboot nullDC it says something like "attempt to load game save unsuccessful". And when I try to start a new game it says the memory card needs to be formatted. I heard on other forums that it works well with the NTSC version but I want to play the PAL version to transfer my save to Shenmue II. My Shenmue II modded cdi and Smith's Shenmue II English speech cdi saves/loads well. Anyone know what I should do? It would be much appreciated.

Have the same problem. Want to start Shenmue disc 2 start file and it says that. Dunno what to do.

Hi nskachu, maybe you're using an old version of nullDC ? Try using the version I uploaded in this thread and let me know if it works for you :

It saves and loads fine on my machine with PAL Shenmue 1

I am playing on the Dreamcast, but thanks Well, I tried converting my file but it did not work so i just downloaded the other discs from the same region because my 1st disc is german and my older burned discs were of unknown regions.

Hi Ren Dan,

I ran into this issue before as well. I just opted for playing the NTSC Shenmue and then using shenfix to convert the save to PAL. That might be the easiest work around for you.

Worst case scenario, you can just use gameshark or action replay to emulate what you transfered overr save should be.

If you want, I could make you a save file.

I had the exact problem, and the solution was staring me right in the face.

On the task bar of nUllDC select Profiler, then select Enable.

That solved the issue for me :

My solution to the problem was to say I have 50HZ when it first asks you between 50hz and 60hz monitor when first booting up the game after clearing your save data.

I haven't really tested it out too much so I don't know which one caused the problem, but I made sure my system region was set to EUR in nulldc, and I also made sure profiler was enabled. I know that doing those by theirselves didn't fix the problem, but they might still be able to cause the problem.

Just set the cable type to VGA(0); that solved the problem for me ;)
