Shenmue Dojo

I'm certain this question has been asked many times on the forums before, but Ryuji Iuchi's insightful interview and the new hype have inspired me to ask again. We have something like 500+ songs throughout the games, and it's the one thing that, unlike the graphics and gameplay, can't technically be called limited by the DC?

What was the stand out piece of music throughout the series, if there could only be one, for you? Can be F.R.E.E., incidental or OST, anything.

If you pay attention it tells the story of the entire series. It's even more clear when you listen with the text that accompanies it in the Project Berkley movie.

Another pick is Morning Fog's Wave and the New Departure. They both fully encapsulate the sadness and roaring emotion as Ryo develops his anger and conviction. Adore.

The way they describe the story in Project Berkley film accompanied by the music is nothing short of genius. Excellent pick.

It's extremely hard to pick just a few, but these are the one's I've been listening to mostly lately.
What I love most about Shenmue's music is not only how it perfectly captures the moment in the games, but also its ability to help relieve stress.

My favourite musical piece in Shenmue, hands down, is "Sha Hua". I distinctly remember the very first time I heard it in-game - playing on Ryo's cassette player while standing opposite Tom's hotdog truck just after exiting Global Travel Agency - and it made my spine tingle; an effect no other song had ever had on me up 'til that point.
