VGA help!

I've ordered the Ex-Pro upscaler - it's due on Monday. I've also treated myself to a 1080p monitor so I can upscale to 'full HD'. Will be testing the VGA box with an old monitor just to make sure it's not faulty.

Good news! The monitor arrived early! I tested the VGA box and it worked an absolute treat. So, it must've been my TVs. Damn you, LG!

One problem - I have no sound. Can I only get sound by hooking the VGA box up to external speakers?

I will put pictures up of my full set up once the upscaler arrives.

Your monitor must have an audio in jack to go along with the VGA signal, just like the TVs do.
The converters/scalers also have this form of sound input.

So, audio out from VGA box to audio in on the monitor/external speakers?

Yes, you need to hook up that extra cable because VGA is video only and doesn't transport sound.

Hi all.

Just thought I'd let you know that I'm finally up and running - thanks for all of your help and advice. I'm a bit busy at the moment but I will take some snaps of my set up when I get a spare second.
