QTE Fail montage in HD

Postby QuickTimeFailure » Sat Jan 07, 2017 3:06 pm

phpBB [video]

Hey guys. I have a youtube channel that shows QTE fails in video games. I just released a QTE fail video about Shenmue! I made this video using the same method Mr357 used when he made his Shenmue Remastered movies. This was played using demul 0.7 with 3x resolution and the widescreen hack created by Esppiral, Masterchan777, and Sappharad.

Thanks for being an awesome community that stuck around for so long. Hope you all enjoy!

Neat idea, dude! Thanks for putting in the effort to make this. The QTE fail where the truck decides to do a barrel roll is so ridiculous, yet oddly awesome :)

The 16:9 pop-in effect makes the stairs look wicked at 11:10.

Thanks for the mention! I have great respect for your level of patience.

why do people post so many videos through emulators?

Easier to capture the footage, I suppose.

Precisely! Additionally, it's really easy to swap around saves, and if your PC can handle it, you can boost the game's "internal" resolution to mitigate aliasing. VGA on a Dreamcast looks great, but it still falls short of the quality that an emulator can achieve.

Thanks man. Yeah when I first saw that, I nearly fell off my chair from laughing.

That's what I love about Shenmue. Every time I play the game, I find something that I've never seen before. I don't think I've ever had that with any other game, other than Shenmue 2 I guess.

Yeah that was crazy, lol. Looked almost like an optical illusion.
And no problem dude. You deserve it, what with all the hard work you put in your videos man.

This was mostly by choice. I wanted to play and record with an HD coating of the game instead of playing it with a small resolution. That and my Dreamcast is on its last legs. The lid doesn't stay closed anymore unless I put something on top of it (usually the game case) and generally it just doesn't seem to be in that great shape since I put it away a few years ago.

This too. Don't really have the space to get my older tv to play with composite cables.

Thanks a bunch! QTE fails were a thing I've always wanted to see on youtube and while there are plenty of videos out there, there were some that weren't around so I thought, "Why don't I do it?"
Thanks again for enjoying my channel!
