Read-Only Memory are Kickstarting a new Dreamcast book that not only has interviews with people who worked on Shenmue, but a nice Shenmue bookmark. There's also a limited Shenmue (and JSR and PSO) special edition of the book. Anyone interested? I have the Mega Drive book they did, it's really cool.

Yeah that's clearly far too much, but you get the bookmark with the regular £35 book. The Mega Drive one is a really nice coffee table book, I'm looking forward to this one a lot too. Now we just need a Saturn book...

Holy shit the flashing in that trailer is annoying. Cool looking book though, hopefully it reaches it's goal!

Had to back the Shenmue edition. Also bumped them up past the £68,000 funding goal, so it's amazing to see this funded within 2 days of going live. It's going to be a great piece of work.

Yu was interviewed in the Mega Drive book (his favourite Mega Drive game is Puyo Puyo), hopefully they get a chance to talk to him for this book too.

What is this doing in the Shenmue 1 section? Why isn't it in "General Gaming"?

Anyway, so I backed this project, emailed the author and asked them about doing a Yu Suzuki interview. He replied to me, asking me to watch the updates of the campaign, followed by "...", so there will probably be an interview with Yu Suzuki in the book or something else connected to Yu Suzuki will be going on during the campaign.

Spread the word so we all can increase our own odds of getting it. Hooray!

I don't think they even lasted 10 seconds. As soon as I upgraded my pledge, they were all gone. Luckily, I was fast enough!

Didn't get it either. Though I don't feel too bad about it as it is not his signature on the Shenmue Edition. Though £150 is a lot to swallow for a book. I don't remember even paying that much for a single college book back in the day.

Well, Kickstarter's over now but funded at 187%! I can't wait to get my hands on this book, the Mega Drive book was absolutely amazing and I expect great things from the Dreamcast one as well.

Got the email too. I wouldn't have been complete without a YS interview. Glad to hear the news. Really looking forward to this book.
