That was not blowing my own trumpet, when I do I make a MASSIVE fuss over whatever it is im making a fuss over.
and a slig is that thing in my profile picture and the picture I was blowing my own ho- I mean asking for criticism for.

Well, thanks for commenting, well, now a shenmue town simulator... hmm, first were gonna need to design a town. And we'll need NPC's and well everything that where using in MiTT3NZ's project uses. well a build your own role play in a sense. Ill nick some resources off of the project and try and throw something together for you.
If anyone else wants to help me by....well...anything then help meh :P

An entire city for the first project? Oh, if you want to practice your modelling skills, that's ok, but I don't see the point here from the perspective of «game».

I recently watching how my friend playing shenmue1 in the first time and he was just exciting about how much details it puts in the enviroment, so you can open every box and see that clothes in the cabinet. But the tricky part is what it's not just «things», there are story behind it, and in shenmue you are actually learn the story throught the enviroment. So it's doesn't matter if you are exploring room or street, or district, the most important is the meaning of all of it.

That's a good point. If you're going to model a town that attempts to capture the spirit of Shenmue, then create connections between things - questions and answers spread between locations. Have a poster somewhere that advertises the opening hours of a bar, and then make sure the bar opens at that time. Have a store that's closed down with a 'For Sale' board in the window, and then have a newspaper article laying on someone's kitchen table detailing the reasons for its closure. These things don't require anything more technical than the modelling you're already doing, but planning this kind of attention to detail allows the story/life/personality of the town to unfold the more the player explores it.
