You can use the d3d plugin für demul, then 3d ripper works. but my results where bad. But that could be just me, i have many problems with 3d ripper.
I hope this will change after i renew my ein xp installation.

And for makaron with Joystick you can use "xpadder".

:) :) :)

Ok hey, I have a request, if anyone could convert the map files into a 3Ds Max file that would be great, or even better you could convert it and then turn the 3Ds Max file into a prop for source because I just need it to get the exact dimensions for all the maps, so textures and stuff isn't needed. (I'm working on Shenmue Source, soo ya)

p.s. you don't have to convert it to a prop for me I would just find someone to convert the files for me, but ya it would help a lot more if someone here did it :P

p.p.s. I'm not even sure if its possible to convert it into a working prop or prefab or something or if hammer will even load it but asking doesn't hurt anyone.

While i could have uploaded the original rips in 3DR or MAX format i felt they are quite worthless as i don't have any abilities in 3dsmax besides clicking on "Export to 3ds". The original 3DR files are however heavily distorted and i fix them in Vue, so the images i posted here are really not what they looked in 3d max.

If you are good in 3D max you can for sure twist and stretch the models back to original state as i did in vue, but then you would sure be better off by just ripping the scenes yourself. Keep in mind that what you see is all you get, so the scenes i posted look fine from the angle shown, but totally lack back, much from sides and basically everything you dont see is cut off. To make it short - on close inspection you probably wouldn't like the max scenes from me. I leave 3d max format to someone who is good at it like dotsona, i really lack the abilities.

There's no mention of the SPR sprite files, is there a program that will open them, I tried a Half-Life Spr Image program but it crashed...
I guess a last resort would be using 3d DX Ripper to get them.

File extensions are like art - you can name them whatever you want and in the end its still the same picture.

The ".SPR" file from Shenmue are normal PVR files, you can use one of the common tools like "PVR2BMP", the PVR dissector should also work on these.

EDIT :
NOW I know SPR is a container file containing multiple PVR's , thats why pvr2bmp wouldnt work (Pvr Dissector will work with SPRs)
At first I used SprUtils to seperate SPR into their multiple PVRs

Pvr2Bmp isnt great , PVR dissector is much better and can convert mass PVR's/SPR's in one go, get them both here.

Hello,

This thread is really interesting. I didn't know that FamilyGuy done a SND2WAV converter, so I downloaded it to upload to my Shenmue Translation Pack website.

You can find many updated tools on my page :-)

Hi there!
The guys from Shenmue UK told me to come here with my request.

The situation is that I would like a nice insider shirt Shenmue fans would recognize; and I decided I want a Tom's Hot Dog-shirt!
I think it's quite unique, and true Shenmue fans will recognize it instantly.

Now what I need is a good pic of the artwork from his pullover; or the texture. I am told you here are experienced in ripping textures, and maybe someone here already has Tom's pullover texture stored. If anyone could help me out it would be amazing; if nobody can help me I'll have to draw it from looking at Tom on the screen when the game is running, but that won't be accurate.

I already tried a texture pack, but I only found an incomplete one.

So, can anyone gie me Tom's shirt artwork? :)

Ah your that guy from youtube, im very sorry I could not help you but what matters is that you now have a texture :P
=D>

For those of you who get flat or indecent results in 3dripperxd you'll need an emulator with a stereoscopic 3d plugin in order for it to pick up any kinds of depth.

Hey guys,

I've just downloaded the speech files from ziming. However, when I try and convert them into a .wav format, I get the following message.

not a valid shenmue STR file format" or "failed opening str...."

Any ideas how this can be fixed?
