Shenmue Dojo

I extracted Ryo from the game with pretty good results, I want to rig the model so I can move him around, just been kinda busy, I am going to start uploading the 3ds files so others can use them, so far I have about 5 character models. Here are some renders of Ryo.

Also love the photo scene, magnificent use of twilight lighting, the red is perfect for this scene. And i agree, Nozomi would be jealous. Lucky Fangmei that i yet wasn't able to extract a perfect Nozomi model.

Thanks And yes I cant wait till we extract a full Nozomi model, I have been looking at ways to force the engine to render all the polys, and I learned that there are settings in the config file that are not in the menus (read about this on another forum) perhaps it might be helpful for us

Also take a look at vs_hsl.fx file, this file deals with vertex shading, I have been looking at the code, it has to do with how the tris are calculated. Might be helpful for us, I am going to ask around on some other forums to see if anyone knows about it.

Ryo's Japanese - they all do it. It's no big deal, over there. I guess his Japedophile ways might land him in trouble in Hong Kong. That's why Ryo went to Guilin, so that he wouldn't end up in some greasy jail holding on to the inside of some maniac's pocket all day.

haha, I could see ryo saying "its not what it seems" but the picture is actually in reference to when ryo comes back to visit her (Ryos promise, which has never happend since there are no other shenmue games) thus I would assume she would finally be old enough at that point I do think she's 15 though, I suppose only if you got the birthday scene.

But anyhow, I got the idea from the good bye scene where fangmei saids the following

"good luck... please take care... go to bed early...and..........I love you. Please you dont have to say anything at all, but someday come back here, ill be waiting, I believe in you (ryo: I promise I will)

Can you change fengmei for Yuan?

I could put in Yuan (havent ripped that model yet) not sure if she would fit the scene haha. I want to put in Nozomi, but I cant get a good character rip of her, Fangmei was the only female character (that was a main character) that I had.

How long did it take to do that one picture?

Not long, about 3 min, all I had to do is import the ryo model and fangmien model, then moved them near eachother, stuck in a background map, and 2 lights. (I already had ripped the two models so I didn't have to clean them up or anything)

Get one of Lan Di in Ryo's arms kissing or something.
