Any progress on a reupload? Would be useful to have these lists since there's so much guess work involved to figure out what everything is. :)

Or if there's some way to extract textures from the PKF or PKS files, whichever has the textures, so I can more easily try to find out where the character I want is, that'd be nice.

Regular afs extracting tools are fine like AFS utils, AFS explorer.

Since I'm using the DC version of the game I'm not sure if that will help me to use that swapper :x. But I found the character I wanted after guessing which file it was in and using Universal PVR Extractor to extract the PVR and confirm. Now if I could only get the disc to rebuild properly :)

While I cannot guarantee it is working with Shenmue I, I'm confident it works with Shenmue 2 on Dreamcast (tested via emu and wude also tested it).

Also if you are just looking for the character models then maybe the dump from the 1st_read.bin will help you, afaik it is a very complete list of all characters, their reference name and the file name. Keep in mind that one is only for SHenmue 1.

Oh, so the swapper will work with the DC one. Well, that really helps, thanks then! :)

Does this work for Shenmue 2 also? And also I have a actual copy and a pirated copy of Shenmue I but, the actual copy doesn't work. Whenever I start the game to go to Yamanose it freezes! So that's why I had to download it... This model swapping sounds very fun! Is there any way I can do it with a pirated copy? Because in Shenmue 1 I planed something funny with the model swapping.

all you need is a gdi version of shenmue1/2, and the "Shenmue Test Environment" kit.

How do I repack the files into a GDI or run them in NullDC?
