Wow, that would be awesome!

All I know is that I use OpenIV to add characters that other people make. Might be good idea to look on some GTA IV modding sites cause they have helpful people there that should be able to help.

Thanks a ton man! 8)

It was my understanding that it will be using updated versions of euphoria and Rage like later versions used in RDR and Max Payne 3.

I am honestly only going by what this video says though.

Looks like somebody just ported it!

phpBB [video]

http://www.gtainside.com/en/download.php?do=cat&id=345

To install the mod you will nee to get OpenIV and this trainer to make the player Ryo Hazuki.
http://download.gta-expert.it/index.php ... ad&id=1994

Install OpenIV and then browse to PC/models/cdimages/Componentpeds. Once you have that opened, you need to go to the files that say M_Y_Prison and right click them all and extract to new folder. Name it GTA IV backups and place it on desktop for easy access.

Next go to file/edit mode in the program. Once in edit mode you can copy all 3 files from the rar to the directory.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you rebuild archive after you install the mod to make your game work perfectly!

Here is the trainer, it goes into main directory of game.
http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=5646

Once in game you need press F3 to go to Models and press the back button a few times till you see M_Y_Prison. That is what you want to spawn as to be Ryo. Press numbpad 2.4.5.6.7. 5 = enter.

In my opinion, the newer Ryo models look uuuuugggglllllllyyyyy. Dreamcast/Xbox one seems much better to me, because of the low-qualityness and it's colors.

Well the one that was just ported a few days ago is the Dreamcast Ryo from Shenmue 1 with the passport disc head model. This is the same one that was in GTA SA.

Lmao, that GTA IV Ryo model really looks nice. Well seems Ryo is not really a good driver...

Yeah, I tested it out finally last night and it was SO much fun finally playing as Ryo! It was like a dream come true! I also have a Forza 4 Delorean model and it was modded with the Back to the Future interior and exterior parts from the Crysis Back to the future mod, and man, it was NICE! I am a HUGE Back to the future and Shenmue fan so my dreams DEFINITELY came true!

Woah! Somebody made it finally. Cool. And GTA IV works with alpha channels so you can use the Passport head without that crappy bugs on the hair.
I had to use the ingame model of Ryo beucause he does not use so much alpha on hair and it looks better in San Andreas.

What newer? All Stars Racing? It uses low textures. Nobody has chosen this one. All are made from Shenmue DC.

Oh, I thought it used the passport model head. Since this is already pretty much done, do you guys think anybody can take a look at replacing his head with the Passport Disc head? I see there is a problem with the neck, Ryo has a gap between his head and body, so you can see through him. Kinda spoils the immersion.

The GTA4 Ryo is the passport one.

What do you mean with gap?

There is a small place on his neck where Ryo's shirt and neck line are out of place. Let me take a screenshot from my game real quick to show you.

That'll just be because of a slight mismatch. Open the Ryo model in your 3D modeling software, select the neck, and use the scale transform to make it just a little larger n that should sort it. Either that or add a ring or plane or summat around that area and skin it with a snippet from Ryo's neck.

Yeah.

And remeber this head was swapped to a Shenmue 2 body so you wont have perfect results. Yfrid ripped it from passport and needed to make at least 4 captures and rebuild polys. Shenmue 1 use a backflip on models.

Hey, btw, I watched the video at 1080p and I can see it has a lot o missed polys, and strange rigging and textures.

Pretty different from mine in San Andreas. Look:
