RDC is ReviveDC.
ReviveDC's release is sm1th's version.

But why the 80 min cd version was removed?

It's sad, but i can understand who tries to buy working versions from some scammer on ebay, there isn't much choice for some people.

I wonder if its standard for gdrom's to have bad sectors.
I tried to burn the 99min Disk 1 CDI with Alcohol 120% and ImageBurn, have wasted 3x 100min disks already
and the Nero CD/DVD Speed tool always shows me defect sectors with the surface scan on the same place on all three disks :/

edit:ok..that seems to be normal...I have that red stripe of defect sectors on every disk cd1,2,3...its of equal size everytime ^^

edit 2: Successful Burning

Brand: Best-CDR 100min
http://www.ebay.es/itm/282067099116?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT
Media ID: I 12:46:54 Destination Media Type: CD-R (Disc ID: 97m27s58f, Mitsui Chemicals Inc.)

Dreamcast Model: PAL VA1

Shenmue Undub Disc 1,2,3 boot instantly.
But I had to test 3-4 cd-burners I had at home until i found one that worked in terms of producing easily readable disks for the dc.

I didn't tests the disk with longer gaming times or so, so I can't really tell how reliable this disks are in the dc.

I burned with a Samsung SH-S223F, 16x, ImgBurn

Unfortunately mfd/mds link to CD1 is deleted from mega, in addition for some weird reason I cant download even 1MB from mega because of some free bandwidth limit, havent used it in a while so no idea what the heck happened.

Is there a chance someone could reupload those latest patched (07/2015) version of mfd/mds, CDI undub to some hosting that allows high speed download for free users?

Another question is, whats the difference between mdf/mds/CDI/GDI?
I know that mdf its image ripped with alcohol, CDI is some other kind of image but googling for GDI I found explanation that unlike CDI it is actually full version of the disc while CDI have to be compressed or ripped, is it still the case here or mdf/mds, cdi, gdi dont have any difference between each other apart from different extension.

If anyone still wants this(the 99min version), I will be visiting the states in December. Usually when I ship these out the shipping costs are quite high from JP. So if you're interested PM me soon and I can ship from within USA for much cheaper next month.

Has anyone actually played right through these image files on Demul? On disc 3 the game constantly crashes Demul on Day 2 working at the harbour. When your lunch break ends and Ryo looks at his watch, it almost always crashes. If it doesn't, anytime you open your notebook or map of the work route, it crashes also.

I've tried everything from GPU driver testing, to area testing and it crashes every time. I'm now trying to eliminate if it's the build of the image itself.

Yes. The undub is based off the EU version, so the saves are compatible.

On a side note even if you played NTSC Shenmue 1 , there is a homebrew disc that can convert your save for you.

I'm playing shenmue II now ( PAL ) but i've grown accustomed to the coca cola vending machine and i've heard Shenmue II got censored in many other ways in the west.
IS there any version that runs the japanese version with Eng subs or something like that ? :)

Yes, there is a save file converter home brew program. You just burn it to a disc and select the file u wish to change from NTSC to PAL.

Also switching to the undub file will allow you to import your save into Shenmue 2 PAL.

You can get the disc at DCisozone

you can hex edit the region code in the save, but you must fix the checksum afterwards
