Try the *.cdi version. Burn with IMGburn with DiscJuggler plugin.

the only problem with the 80min version was it was mdf/mds. When burnt as a cdi, Disc 1 and Disc 3 work VERY well. All youd have to do is apply the disc 2 fix to your 80 min version and then convert it to cdi like the rest were for MUCH better dreamcast laser reads.

I HOPE YOU DECIDE TO DO THAT SOMEDAY!!

That said, EXCELLENT job! Yet again, thank you so much for this Kogami!

Just had to sign up and say thanks for this fantastic mod, really enjoying hearing the Japanese voice acting and also makes the transition from Shenmue 1 and Shenmue 2 that much better as your not going from an English dub to a Japanese dub... I'm hoping Shenmue 3 on its release as the option between English and Japanese, one can only hope.

I've tried burning this with every program I can think of with various settings, using two different brands of 99-minute CD-Rs, but I can't get past the Dreamcast logo screen. I hear the laser moving violently (very loud, fast clicking), but it won't actually load the game. Official games and other burns run without any issue -- I even tried re-calibrating the laser mechanism, but it still didn't work. Are there any plans for this release to be optimized?

It already IS optimized. Your burner may not be compatible with 99-min CD-Rs.

Thank you for all your positive feedback, I always thought I realized good iso file with the same order to the GD-ROM and putting a dummy to keep the file to the end of the disc. I tested with my CD-R 99 Mediarange with a burner Plextor Premium. The only problem I encountered was the sequence with Izumi in the disc 2 in Yokosuka Port, It was resolved very quickly but it took me more than one year prior to release version fix.

I have received only negative feedback to the point that I neglected this topic, with the arrival of the announcement of Shenmue 3 (I participated in the kickstarter, I donate 580$) I have received private messages asking me a version .gdi, It was simple enough to propose.

I'm happy to have done, this allows you to discover Shenmue with Japanese voices, I hope Sega propose Shenmue HD with selection of voice.

Are Shenmue Undub Disc 1 (CD-R 99) CDI and Shenmue Undub Disc 1 (GDI) the same?
Which is better for emulation? and why?

Was anything deleted or changed in the CDI version?
Does the CDI have full language support?

Do both version have CDDA included?

I just want the ultimate version for emulation no planning on burning it.

The savegame for this version is compatible with the PAL version of Shenmue II
Do you mean the whole shenmue undub right or just GDI version?

It allows ImgBurn to burn *.cdi images since it doesn't natively support them. I've had issues burning using DiscJuggler itself, which is why I recommend the ImgBurn + plugin route.
