So I imported Esppiral's Ryo into UE4 demo without tweaking and he had a few issues with textures not loading for his jacket. Funny thing, he looks like he's got Goro's hair style!

You have to apply alpha mask to repair the hair. No idea about how to do it with UE4.

Yeah im sure it's not too hard to fix. When you look at his hair from behind the transparency can be seen, so it could be a uv tiling issue.

Meanwhile, the guy who started modding Kite demo has shown a new video of Solid Snake running in the map. Interesting...

That's something huge. You need a powerful computer to move it.

This pack weights around 6.3GB and here are its key features:
-42 Photo-realistic meshes with LODs
-17 Foliage
-21 Rocks
– 4 Trees
-138 Textures from 2048 up to 8192
-14 Tiling Ground Materials with Normal and Displacement maps

Yeah its crazy if you want it to look so good.

Surprisngly enough it does manage to load and run on my 2nd generation i7 cpu, 8GB ram, n540M gfx card 1Mb.

It looks like rubbish comparatively and runs at 5-10fps lol

Oh btw, the 6.3GB is only for assets, to actually use the editor, you'll need an additional 24GB download for thr level with a total of 50GB free on space for installation.

LOL! 50GB and it's "only" a map.

That's why devs get paid the big bucks, they convert compress all this stuff to fit on bluray discs.

I'm keen to find out how Shenmue 3's UE4 will look like on PS4. The PC is certainly a stellar experience by those Kite demo videos but to get that level of quality you need to spend at least 4 times the price on a high end PC.

Although different engines and inferior to the PC, MGS5 looks great on the PS4 so let's hope Shenmue 3 looks just as good.

The Shenmue series is such a work of art (too); you need to do a close up like that (something that can't happen by default in-game), to see that there are minute details (eg. at the center, below that green object, the three what appear to be monks/buddhas, engraved) even on that (high, inaccessible) point of the temple.
