Downloading VMU game saves for Reicast

If this has been covered before I apologize.. I finally got Reicast working to play Shenmue 1 on my Galaxy s5 smartphone. It has worked flawlessly so far but I'm on disc 3 and the game keeps crashing after chasing Tony and smith thru the harbor. The work day automatically ends and the boss gives you a letter from Gui Zhang. You are then transported to Chens warehouse. As soon as Warehouse 8 Old Warehouse District pops up, Reicast returns to the main screen. It's crashed at the same spot 5 times. I'm wondering if it's possible to download a vmu save online and somehow transfer into my Reicast file and get it working. I plan to download a save that's just past the point I keep crashing at. Is this possible?

I'm having the same issue, same spot and everything. Did you ever find a way to get past that part? I replayed it over and over and got passed it just once only to crash when I was on my way home to save the game.

view any user/changelog documentation the emu came with.

i'm not an emu user anymore (used to be) and compatibility can still be an issue.
make sure the rom dump (gdi standard i would think?) matches tosec/dumpcast retail catalogues to eliminate possibility of a bunk dump.

the post above me is disconcerting, if this issue is not already known about by the devs, forward your findings to the devs, direct feedback via email/forum. (if applicable)
may get resolved in later builds?!

I had a similar problem and downloaded a different disc 3 to solve it rather use a different save.

Reicast uses the same bin files as NullDC just with a different file name.

Refer to this topic and just rename the files downloaded to your liking.

The folder is the one you set up as the main folder for Reicast. It prompts you for this folder upon first launch of the emulator.

For example, for me it is:
x:/dc/vmu_save_A1.bin
