I used one of the recent builds, not sure if it matters though.
and by the way I don't remember if I did clean install of drivers or not.

Yea at least I have something to go on. I may just go back through every driver for NVidia one by one and try them lol. It's all I can do because I know almost for sure it's a driver issue.

I used the save file you uploaded and spent about 20 minutes of gameplay using the latest build without having any issues, I used both video plugins (old and new) and tried windowed and fullscreen modes.. I am using the latest drivers from Nvidia 378.77 on Windows 10 X64.

Oks, I tried the driver Radar suggested and it crashed. What Demul you using Masterchan?

I am running Windows 8.1 though. I k now that's an issue. So the solutions I have to try and work on are firstly trying all Nvidia drivers (pre 376.19). If that doesn't work, it may be another build of Demul...

The only other thing is completely upgrading the OS. But I need this to work.

Edit: sorry, so next point of try will be the most recent build of Demul, with most recent NVidia driver.

I'm using the latest build, try using it with a clean installation of the latest drivers, you can also try reinstalling/updating DirectX .

Will do bud. It may be tomorrow it happens (best friend just planked his ass in my living room and doesn't seem to be going anywhere.)

I always do clean installs of Nvidia drivers, but I have a very funny feeling it's Windows 8.1. Just with all the issues Windows 8 users have also had with both NullDC and also Demul. But I like a challenge, and I will get this working over the weekend.

I'm playing Shenmue 2 but the emulator crashes when I click Load State. Any way to fix it?

I'm using the latest version.

You mean the quick load? This feature tends to crash Demul all the time. Rarely does it work, it's very picky.
I had better results in the past with this. Don't know what version I used but check out some of the older builds.

The August 18th, 2016 build is still the newest, and it's what I use in conjunction with the "old" DX11 plug-in (which comes with it). The nice thing about that build is that it fixes a lot, or maybe even all of the DSP errors found in earlier builds. In other words, the sound emulation is near perfect.

Does anyone have a save file for Shenmue 2 Disc 3?

My Shenmue 2 Disc 3 will just not read anymore on my DC. It has various disc read areas when tying to load a certain part of the game and I can't be bothered replaying it on PC from the start.

Hi, has anyone a clue why demul always crashing when i load a savestate? it only works with the 0582 version and DX10 plugin. Every newer version with DX11 plugin forces a crash of demul. Tryed various settings of demul and nvidia drivers but no chance to load a savestate.

This issue has been partially fixed in the latest released build which you can get from link in the first page of this thread, savestates on Demul are kinda tricky and still not that reliable though, it's better to use the actual in-game saves to VMU files when possible.

You could use my trainer to make things easier: viewtopic.php?p=1147187#p1147187
I'm assuming you're playing Shenmue 1, and I'm also not sure if any incompatibility exists with the new version of Demul though.
