Hi guys, following this thread, a UK Meetup has been organised. Unfortunately the original mastermind (James Churchy) wasn't able to invest time into this, so I tried my best to live up to his dream and whip something up.

If this successful them maybe something a bit bigger can happen next time!

HYPER JAPAN
This event will take place on the same weekend as Hyper Japan! So while we celebrate Shenmue as a video game on Saturday, consider joining some of us to celebrate Japanese culture on the Sunday - tickets can be bought here: http://hyperjapan.co.uk/tickets/.


This event will be a great place to meet others from the Shenmue community and have a fun evening out! Any questions or suggestions then get in touch!

If visiting London - the location will be easy to get to: London should have 24h tubes running which will make traversing back home easy!

The event is to focus on the things that Shenmue inspired us to enjoy, such as Japanese culture and video games. Sounds excellent!!! And I did love hyperjapan when I went in the summer. However I might not be able to attend on the sunday as I live all the way in brummyland and finding a place to stay overnight will be difficult... I do think setting up a (different?) event a bit more central would be cool though :-)
