Is it possible to hack so it renders at 720p or higher?

Is it possible to hack Shenmue 2 Xbox version so it can render at 720p? I know games are designed to use different resolution. So it is possible to hack Shenmue 2 Xbox ISO, extract the files and make it render at 720p? I know the original Xbox can render up to 1080i. Thoughts?

It is possible to make original Xbox games run at native 720p on the console, in fact this has been done already.













But the compatibility rate is not that high, basically in many games the console will run aout of ram, if you have a 128 ram xbox you will have higher rate of succes, Shenmue II believe it or not, is very ram hungry even on an Xbox so it will hang at the first loading screen, if you have a 128mb ram xbox youu could try it and report the results.

I have heard (but have not tested myself) that Shenmue 2 indeed has issues even on 128MB Xboxes as well as Crystal Xboxes with upgraded RAM.

Sadly I do not think there is a way around this without using 360 backwards compatibility in some way.
