Shenmue II would make one think that Ryu and Sha Hua would end up in love.
I say Sha Hua or Nozomi (If Ryu pull his head out his *** next time the meet).
But I be cool see how it go with Joy ^_^

I highly doubt Joy and ryo will end up together. She seems to have taken on the role of wongs mother. I think that will draw her and Ren together.

I also don't think Ryo and Xu ying will end up together because she sees her brother in him. She probley thinks he's imature as well.

Izumi and ryo are just friends. They were both in unfamilliar surroundings and shared simular intrests (Fighting). I don't think it's an impossibility though.

I have no idea about fang mei and shen hua, But I do have a theory on Nozomi.

It's pretty clear that Ryo's fathers death caused him to distance himself from all his friends and "family". He kind of reminds me of Bruce wayne (Batman). Waynes batman outings (Ryo's quest for revenge) eventualy destroyed his life as bruce wayne, but he didn't care because catwoman came into his life(Fang mei or shen hua or izumi) eventualy wayne retires and marries catwoman.

I Think Ryo and Nozomi will meet up again and she won't like him anymore for some reason. Maby that will cause him to leave japan and go to america or something after all the fightings done. And going back to the batman comparison, maby Izumi will team up with Ryo(batman and catwoman)?

Personally i'd like to see Ryo with Xiuying, surely Ryo looks up to her far more than anyone else.

I doubt he will get involved with anyone though. There isn't enough time for Ryo to develop a relationship especially since Shenmue III (if it does come out) will be the last game in the series.

I don't want the typical Hollywood ending, i'd rather see the game end in an unusual way with a very powerful ending.

I'd say Shenhua, as I have in the past, but have you guys noticed how there is alot of sexual tension between Ryo and the main female characters throughout the plot? Well, of course you have, but I was just thinking about all of the plot devices Suzuki used to immerse people into the game.. And that is one of them. Heh.
