Hardest thing to do in Shenmue II

The arm wrestling, no doubt. Everything else listed in the initial thread just takes time and a little luck...and a lot more time if your luck isn't that great. But time-consuming is not synonymous with difficulty.

Hardest thing i would say for me to do after 6 years is play the Guilin section and run right through it like i did for the first few years. I never talked to Shen Hua, i never looked around at the scenery and i didnt listen to the music and feel the atmosphere. Now i never holdin the right trigger. I walk every inch from getting off the boat at Langhuishan, all the way to the caves. I chat about everything thats possible, and its became my favourite part of Shenmue II by leaps and bounds. That demonstrates to me, how great Shenmue II is as a long term game. You can appreciate something new 6-8 years on thats always been there. I have the game menu up to freeze the time, and i have the music playing constantly asim on the Dojo.

Amazing.

Agreed. Something about that part that is so absolutly amazing, it's beyond words breathtaking.

I hate the thousand QTE's you have to do in the ghost hall bldg. to get to the 10th floor. It may not be the hardest, but i lost count of the number of times i fell. So annoying and made me hate Quick Time Events for life.

If Ryo ever had a job that required him to get onto scaffold, he'd die in the first 5 seconds of the job.

I've remember a part in Yellow Head Bldg. that we had to pass a few dark areas waiting for the lights go out, its not difficult to make that but I've never managed to pass all that areas without be caught by Dou Niu men and consequently fight them, I've tried many times but always got the same result.

Doing all the stuff right so Ryo gets the gun was by far the hardest, since it involved the really hard arm wrestlers.

The plank walking nearly made me put my fist through the TV as well, didn't feel guilty in the slightest for saving after each successful journey across one. Izumi and Eileen I found weirdly easy.

Duck racing, yeah, when I found out I had to build the duck's EXP level so he could corner faster it got pretty easy, until a certain point where it ramped right up and I'd race the different looking ones that roared away like they were on steroids and PCP.

Why is the duck race so complicated to everbody?

Can I have a memory problem? I truly remember I won it at 1st try.

Yes that's right in the last light I've never passed without be caught, maybe its part of the game.

Obviously the arm wrestling

The monkey ball roll/heel sweep take a long time to get, but you just need to find something to occupy yourself while you do it. Watch something, listen to music etc.

Those Mongolian wrestlers are pretty tough, so is the headbutt guy. I wonder if anyone has ever bothered beating him at level 16? :-k

edit; Incidentally, is it possible to carry 7 crates in either Fortune's Pier or the Thousand White building?
