Defeating Dory Gordy at arm wrestling?

Is that the black woman in Kowloon? There's the line of stools of arm wrestlers and she's at the end.

Dory Gordy is a guy, even though he sounds feminine.
The toughest wrestler couldn't be a woman, don't you think? ;)

Well, your knowledge of Shenmue is pretty intimidating, Kiyuu. ;)

A quick look at the Shenmue Wiki confirms what I thought was Dory Gordy. He's one tough nut to crack!

Beating the black suits in Dou Niu's office on Xbox. Seemed like they made the game harder? No lie they raped the shit out of me the first time!

Either finding Wan Chai or resisting the urge to throw my controller at the screen when the DC's shit D-Pad fucks you up on the crate-shifting sections.

Fights in small areas are ridiculous on that game. I stuggled on the fight beforehand when they all come out of the lift..

Beating Ren in a simple game of "Heads or Tails." lol!

Seriously though, walking across ledges. I find Ryo's lack of balance disturbing. Oh, that and the fact that I don't even come close to winning the duck races.

You mean with Ryo's duck? Think you need to have around 8 odd races before he becomes good enough to win.

Walking on the ledges/planks ... I'm ridiculously scared of heights (even by looking at photos, that photo with those builder men sitting on a skyscraper ledge in NY? Can't . stand. it.) Also as mentioned above, Ryo's shit balance doesn't help :P

Ryo is drunk all the time. Not soda he is drinking. Would explain why he is a dumbass.

 That to.
Love Shenmue but could never connect to Ryo as a player. Even Link has more charisma.

I was always looking at Ryo's lack of charisma, or even personality as an intentionally created space for imagination. Doesn't it make You guys wonder what would You do or what would You say if You were in Ryo's situation?

I'm never thinking about that when playing games like MGS with very charismatic main character. For me it is all about what Snake does/says. It is definitely not about what would I do. When it comes to Shenmue, I feel like the game was encouraging me to imagine myself taking part in events shown in it.
