I was wondering if all copies of Fighting Vipers 2(Japanese version for Dreamcast) come with a Shenmue 2 demo,or if it was a first pressing giveaway?

A demo? I'm not sure, but there is an actual demo of S2X that comes with one of the xbox magazines, I still have the disc for it if you want a backup.

I had that and thought it was a poor way to show off the game.

As far as I know, there never was a playable "demo" of Shenmue II for DC in Japan.

I think the Shenmue "demo" was only included in the japanese pre-order editions of fighting vipers 2. At least I am pretty sure the normal release did not contain the "demo" any more.

Also the demo is just a 5 minute self running movie, so you are better off watching old shenmue 2 clips on youtube. There was never any playable Shenmue 2 Demo on any system, neither in Japan nor anywhere else.

I have one from xbox magazine. its the QTE sequence in Wan Chai where you get the watermelon thrown at you

Yep the official XBox mag in the UK also had it.

All I can say is that recently I've found this demo was uploaded to the internet.

Doesn't surprise me but really its a poor demo that would have done little to get sales.

Do you have a link for the demo download ShenmueTree?

I think an interesting question is what part of the game would you use as a demo?
