Me too but hey, whats 100 more shatters gonna do but make me kill myself? ;) Id rather be positive about this just personally. But thats me, I think this could have legs. Certainly more so than the stuff we've gotten in the past "you'll see.." and what not. The direction the series and yu have taken recently seems to be out of desperation and master plans. Like Suzuki just told us awhile back, he's not givin up and he thinks Sega will let him make it. So cross your fingers alittle tighter ;)

I'm ot negative about it I just sit here and think rather nuetral at this point. If I get negative I will just get depressed if I get too optimistic I could get dispointed easy. I'm just sitting here. Wait and see if it happens awesome if not oh well life goes on.

I don't let myself get emotionly sided one way or another.

Everytime a dojo member cops a feel, Yu Suzuki feels it too. So lets get sweaty.

On one hand I think this is great. YS can build up a relationship and release them games he said SEGA rejected. I really think that we have more chance of SEGA outsourcing Shenmue then making it in house.

Then again I can see this being the last we hear on the matter until 5 years down the line we get more Yu Suzuki news.

It's ok, dorks. It's just an advisory role (in case you hadn't have gussed by the above.)

At no point does the article officially state that he's left SEGA.

I'm going to be optimistic about this, We heard some current Shenmue news this year. With no announcement if its in production or anything ; but I'm going keep the little faith I have that Shenmue III will come soon.

I didn't bother posting this, cuz I knew someone else is gonna do it but seems no one wants to post the original information

So here I go:

http://www.premiumagency.com/wordpress/ ... suzuki.pdf

^Very direct important information at this official press release

Should I call Yu to confirm if he is still at SEGA or not? lol! (never, I dont want him to change his contact info)

As of now I believe he is still a SEGA employee,
while he owns his own small biz studio but thank god!
a big key role has been added to his involements.

So, The Kinect thing!
Can it be Psy-Phi?

Btw, I hope SEGA releases SEGA RACE TV on PSN and LIVE,
*As you see on the press it's a YS game.

Best Regards, Ali M. N

I'm normally with the shenmue pessimists and when I read this headline I assumed Suzuki had left sega and all hope was lost, but after actually reading the andrissang (misspelled) article I'm surprised at how hopeful I am.

This is a company that has a history working on two extremely cinematic titles and the CEO is an alum of the shenmue team (and presumably someone who appreciates Yu's talents).

I wouldn't be shocked if sega is outsourcing the future of shenmue officially and this is the first step. Makes more sense than devoting Am2 and more internal resources to the franchises return.

I'm not sure what the press release said, but the article said that kinect fighting game is already in development, doesn't mean it's the main or only reason Suzuki is being brought in

segaSAMMY is "Not" in that list.
Which means there is currently no relationship between sammy & premium agency and I doubt there will be one.
Because The founders started that company after they left Sega because Sammy was destroying it during the merge.
Also I doubt sammy will work with a company foundend by members who started a company because they didn't like the way Sammy does things....

If Premium Agency would make a game shenmue related it would be a totally new game made by Yu with a new story and not shenmue. The closest I can hope is that is a new FREE type game...
Sammy will sue them if they start producing shenmue 3....

From what I did understand the task he will do as said in the article:
To Yamaji also said that he hopes Suzuki will be able to use his lengthy game industry experience to help raise Premium Agency's young creators.
So basically he is working temporally not a full time job.
He will train them and help them increase their skills in creating games.
My guess from this is that this is a trade of skills. I am sure Yu will get the support from Premium agency in the future in the social market. He will learn from them how they do social games(Since premium agency does social games too like http://www.premiumagency.com/dragonkingdom/) and he will teach them how to create a great game. Also in the future he may get support when he may need it for another future social title of his own in his new Ys.net.
