Someone needs to announce something Shenmue related if they want to topple Bethesda. Last night's conference was a full out home run swing.

I have few hopes for something Shenmue related being announced but I can't help but have some hope hope hidden somewhere deep inside, however corny that sounds. In my mind, Shenmue III is a tough sell. Those of us who played the originals are a relatively small community, and to ship the third part of a very much story-driven game which hasn't featured for 15 years is risky to say the least. Then again, Shenmue has some sort of standing in the videogame community and I can very well imagine an HD remake to test the waters. Besides, if it would come to something like PS4+Steam the potential user base would huge, much larger than the Dreamcast originals.

I am not giving Shenmue 3 a single moment of time at this point. It's sole hype for Shenmue HD, and if the stars align, a simultaneous release of Shenmue II HD. That's the business model any company would use to gauge the demand for a Shenmue II to be made. Anyone hoping for a Shenmue III reveal, even I will say that's way out of reach and a sure fire let down. But the HD remakes have a serious chance, especially since its been a while since we have had a Dreamcast DLC title.

I think you re wrong.

For me, he went almost every year just wandering around in the alleys.

Nevertheless, I could be wrong.

If this is the case and Shenmue 3 isn't already planned as a definite followup we've got to be prepared to do everything we can to make sure the HDs sell. Do we even have a plan?

On a different note, is the thing about the site being hosted on an Amazon server true?
