Regarding the new 'last post' on the forum index - any way you can set it to the last post, rather than the first message of the thread?

As far as I know, this is how most others forums operate.

Do you mean the 'Last Post' in the forum nav bar?


If so, it is set to detect the last post made, on the topic it was posted on. But if you click on the topic, you go to the topic (the thing you clicked on). That's how all forums work mate.

Instead of going to the topic itself? Makes no sense. If you hadn't read the topic before, then you can just click it and read from the beginning. If you had read it before and just want to track it's progress, simply use the 'View your posts' link at the top of the page.

No need to have two things providing the same task.

Bah, If you click on a topic, one should expect to connect to the topic, not the last post of the topic. If you want to see the last post of that topic, click the little white paper thingy. The way you are describing is unorthodox. The way it is now is proper.

I know man. But hey, now you can do both. You can view the last topic and see the topic entirely. I really couldn't imagine it another way.

But I understand, when you get used to something, it sucks when it changes. But things have to change, even if it defies what we are accustomed to. That's evolution.

Its like when we were younger and when we played racing games, we used to lean into the controller in the direction we are turning. And we knew it didn't help, so we conditioned ourselves to not move our bodies while playing, because it's a waste of energy and thought. But now, we have to unlearn all of that because games are evolving with motion controls.

The forum is adapting, now its members must adapt as well. But who am I to say, I'm still a Dojo newb.

I can see at first when clicking the topic and it went to the first post, but like it was pointed out the white page goes to the last post. Now that we all know that, use it accordingly. Best of both worlds.
