Hey guys, first post.

I’ve read the Dojo over the years but always felt like the further time progresses, the less chance that we’ll see some form of follow up to the original games, so never signed up. But today feels pretty special I must admit, so I wanted to be here just in case

I can’t help but feel like this time we’re going to get a solid answer; either ‘show’s over’ or we’re going to be fed something that keeps the dream alive better than "I think Sega will let me make the game...". I just don’t see how these guys can sit there and talk about an unfinished story for a whole hour without making some reference to finishing it off. Hell, even if Yu just *tells* us what the ending is at this conference I’ll be disappointed but at least I’ll have closure and be kind of happy.

I'm going to enjoy this event for what it is, but I do get the feeling that it is now or never. Fingers crossed and good luck guys

I'm in the same boat, just had spent 10 minutes trying to remember my UN/PW combo as I haven't posted in a long time! 11 and a half hours to go ! I couldn't be more excited if I tried! As we all know, nothing could come of tonight, other than just a greater incite in to the game we all love, but ...oh man, if HD versions were announced... I think I would literally cry with happiness.

Even if nothing comes out of it (new games etc.) - there is still hope imo.

Hey guys. long time no see ;) . well , i do not expect a shenmue 3 announcement. I think this kind of expectation is unreal. what i do expect is a "yeah i think that i will finish the games in this generation" or a "sorry shenmue fans the game is dead"... in my opinion if an announcement is made, it is going to be shenmue HD at the end of the talk. something like "ok , we talked about the games now we have a surprise for the shenmue fans , we are working on an HD version of the games blah blah blah"

Don't expect any sort of announcement from a postmortem but hope we get some new info on the 2 games and Shenmue Online.

Good to have all of you back! Now if nothing comes of this do not disappear, we will need each and every one of you to keep the campaign going. This isn't the be all end all of Shenmue, as it will likely bring a lot of attention to the future of the series.

Oh no! Only if Shenmue Online is completely revamped to fit the look of Shenmue more. Wouldn't surprise me if Suzuki reveals Shenmue Gai (Mobile) for Western release though. The HD collection is all that I ask for. Give it to me.

Just hooked up my dremacast and started playing shenmue 1 . I just cannot wait for the time to pass!

Well unless Yu got the IP off SEGA he won't be announcing anything.

I would like to get some proper details on Onlines cancellation as I seem to recall it was close to release?

He still got to make Shenmue City/Gai though, so it's not like he hasn't had permission in the past to use the Shenmue property off SEGA.

Online sounds like it had a few development issues. I wonder if Suzuki will even be asked about it at GDC or not?
