This was announced as a postmortem and that's what it was. If you go to a taco joint and they're out of tacos, you have the right to get mad. But it'd be pretty silly to complain about them not selling oysters, wouldn't it?

Suzuki shared some pretty interesting facts, such as huge portions of Shenmue being procedurally generated or the early prototype he talked about. Personally I'm very satisfied with how it went, from the stream quality to the translation, to the the content which was what it was supposed to be.

Dat postmortem was just like Shenmue. You just watching it, and then suddenly they say "To be continued..." And thats it.

At the end of the day, it still doesn't get us any closer to Shenmue III.

I wasn't expecting much but God damn, surely a journalist could have mentioned Hd remakes. [-X

It was very enjoyable for what we got. QA sucked, but we saw and learned some really great stuff there.

seriously its time to move on..

after 13 years all he can say is "dot dot dot". the usual rubbish? he clearly isn't interested in pursuing the game any more, you could tell it in his whole de-meaner and dismissal of the question. the game hasn't been this hyped in years, if he was interested in pushing it he would have said way more than that...

we need to move on, Yu is getting old, old enough where this isn't a reality or possibility anymore. He's too busy making money consulting for small Chinese mobile games companies...

At least we have the rest of GDC for a reporter (or reporter himself) find Suzuki and ask him some questions, hopefully about the remakes.

I don't think it's all Yu. He's probably legally silenced on most issues about unreleased content as it is by SEGA. You can tell he wants to make the game, and probably is more dismissive due to the fact that he can't do what he wants to do without the stars aligning just the right way.

It was a little dissapointing but i truly beileve Shenmue 3 is closer to reality then we think. I think Yu suzuki could be making negotiations with a company. or possibly some company(such as Sony)Could be looking into getting the IP.(Just hoping)
