So this being the context, it means Yu Suzuki had to have told him something which would overjoy any normal Shenmue fan. This line would make zero sense if the realisation was one of Shenmue 3 "still being a distant dream". In fact in the sentence preceding the initial statement he says "Shenmue 3 is more than just a dream". Pretty clear cut really.

Not that I condone this kind of teasing of course. But for what it's worth, I reckon Yu probably did tell him something encouraging. And heck, even though it's a really rubbish article, at least it's still keeping people talking about Shenmue.

Not going to get excited..But Yu-San has been getting quite some attention after the GDC and well before it too. So since he says he can't disclose but so much.. Is that a way saying Shenmue of some sort is being evaluated? Social media is big nowadays and there are more advantages to promoting and sharing Shenmue, I see the chance of it being closer as well.

Oh and I will be attending TGS 2014.

My feet are very much on the ground, but for the reasons I previously mentioned, I just don't understand how that paragraph can be interpreted in the way you suggested. It defies comprehension.

I want to believe this but yu divulging such potentially non-disclosure information to some random video game journalist is highly unlikely. I feel like this is just "look at my game news site" stuff.
