YS Net has set new stretch goals for the Shenmue III Kickstarter up to $11 million. Currently sitting at slightly above $3.5 million, these new goals detail Suzuki's approach to his full, open world vision for Shenmue III.

Goddamnit Yu there's still question marks past 11 million! I was just settling into the idea of a 5 million dollar game and now this!

Oh god, living with the knowledge of how much more this game could be is if it had a proper budget behind it is stressing me out.

All logic in the universe is pointing at the kickstarter ending at 5 million right now, i just feel bad for this community at the amount of people pulling their hair out to somehow get it to 10+ million.

That being said, there must be a way to pull this off somehow?! If anyone can do it, it's this crazed group of people.

Time to get serious guys. We need wealthy backers. Some of us must have rich relatives and friends to spread the wealth! We need you to reach our goal to make Shenmue 3 the best game it can be.

You know I am a die hard Shenmue fanatc. Bloodstained set a record for a video game kickstarter, and now Suzuki is looking to break that by asking for more than double???

People like a good story and ultimately how much shenmue will raise comes down to that. The story of a gaming legend making a long awaited sequel after 14 years, needing 11 million to complete his vision.

Having this number out there is great because the gaming press will probably pick up on it, setting the bar high might be the thing to get more non-fans contributing. I'm not saying i think it's gonna hit 11 million, but if we shoot for 11 and end up at 8 it still gets us a deeper game.

I've been thinking a lot about reoccurring donation with Shenmue 3. A lesser known crowdfunding site is Patreon, where people can support a person/project with a reoccurring monthly donation instead of a big bang one time fee.

Lets take me for example, i pledged $300 right now (which is madness given my life circumstance).

If this game is gonna take a minimum 2 years to come out, i would happily put up $40 a month which would end up at $960. I hope they understand there's much more money to be made from the passionate fans beyond this kickstarter if they're creative about it.

I may need to sell some of my organs, at this point. xD
