General Discussion + Entertainment = One?

Last of the little revitalization project is the possible merge of two forums.

Both the ENT forum and GD forum have threads from over a month (or in some cases two) on the first page, there is no reason they can't coincide. Again, more activity in one place is always a good thing.

The reorganization that was just done will undoubtedly raise thread activity in GD, though this merge would top it off.

You mean merge the forums. Would that not be more cluttered? Like too general despite the name GD. I know that's how it is at Haze but personally don't like it. Makes it feel too clustered IMO

To be honest I never go into entertainment. For me it would just clutter up the general forum.... Not that I'm here that often.

I'll just clean up some titles in ENT so they aren't confused with others, add an OP adjustment and continue using it as normal.

Check out the other threads, 90% votes in both. I'm doing what the community wants, not just one or two of you. It's about time the majority ruled.

And relax guy, that's why I make threads with a vote and don't go ahead and do things without question (old admins much?). I actually care what everyone thinks, hence why these two forums won't be merged.

I'm a guy who is like a freaking cat stuck in routines so change is always scary but it also from his perspective this is part of his life's work and he doesn't want it to stagnate. So like a good owner should he asks. I don't know many forums that ask TBH. He is doing the fair thing. I may not agree on all of it but people speak and he listens so is being 100% fair and knows how to run a site and often knows better than us. Thus why you have this knee jerk reaction. Place needs a kick in the pants every so often to wake people up and post more. After all we don't want another "is it me or dead in here" topics.

This is not like Google where they change options around and it's basically unintuitive. Especially with Youtube.

I don't care what changes are made here since I'm assuming the person doing them knows what they're doing.

I think it's a great idea to merge GD and Entertainment. I really don't see the point in them being split and like Yama says, it would give an overall feel of the boards being busier if any non gaming related threads were in one place. Plus it would be fucking hilarious to see Animegamer have a complete spaz out again.
