Browser freezing...

I don't know why, but every time I'm on the Dojo and open a second tab to look at a thread , my browser (Chrome) pretty much seizes up and I can't see anything. Normally when I browse a forum I'd just go into an early thread and use a "Next Thread" link to skim through them all, but I can't seem to find one so I'm using the "keep a tab on the forum and middle click to open threads that interest me in a new tab" system. With this issue though, I can't use either method.

Is it to do with the browser and you know of this issue or is something else causing it?
