What if the trailer comes in the game awards and the shenmue hd in PSX ? (or the other way around ?)

In the first scenario Shenmue_Trilogy would win this bet! By means of a pretty nasty loophole.



Okay, so since this is a bet, there's got to be something at stake. New topic rule:

Everyone who loses by betting on the wrong horse will have to admit that he's
1) an asshole
2) actually the son/father of Joel Tess*
3) obviously really dumb
and that the winners (names have to be spelled out) obviously are the smartest persons on earth, and surprisingly sexy at that.

Winners will be allowed to revel in that. The stakes might need refining, any suggestions are welcome.

I voted neither. I'm skeptical that development has lasted long enough to produce a trailer of substance. Something to satisfy us fans, but not far enough along to impress the general public.

A decade-plus of waiting has made me overly cautious regarding Shenmue 3 and being optimistic.

I voted for Shenmue 3 trailer, it should be there after all the rumors, tweets of Cedric and what backers said.

About the HD versions...I don't trust Sega, they are not that smart to do that.

About the HD versions...I don't trust Sega, they are not that smart to do that.

If Sony offer them enough money to develop them exclusively for PS4 they might be. That's where our biggest chance for HD remasters is and it's why I think PSX is the most likely place to see them.

I'm going to go out and say they both appear. The trailer for III is much more likely at PSX than the HD Collection is for sure---however..

If Shenmue III has been nose to the grindstone in development and currently apace with making that December '17 reease, PSX would be the right time to show the HD Remasters, as E3 2017 might not be quite the same, as it'll be closer to IIIs release and not as much time to generate interest. Unless, of course, S3 gets delayed.

I hope SO MUCH that te get something Shenmue-III-related, and Shenmue III needs a bigger plattform for pushing the Game. But i say it with the words of Star Wars-Movies: I have a bad feeling about it.

Because of Yu Suzuki's perfectionism. I don't think we'll see anything substantial until he is about 98% satisfied with how the game is turning out. So, I guess we won't see anything until at least mid year next year.
