At the end of the day, althought it wouldnt be good, I don't care if digital rex release a short cgi .avi showing a nuclear bomb destroying Ryo and everybody.
Yes, it would be annoying, yes, it would suck.
But...I would rather have that than the story not ending, especially after all the time I've put into it.

Basically, before this announcement all SEGA/AM2/WHATEVER have been saying about shenmue III is, "maybe" "i hope so" "i would like" "i think" and now this suprising announcement is "we believe". Like I said, it isnt an announcement. It's just 6 months of nothing at all being put through a thesaurus then reposted.

I don't think so they said they belive they have something for us not they belive they might have something for us.

Well...they do not have any permission to tell us anything about the development yet (this is not only for Shenmue 3, its like this for every game in the biginning of the development.)

So they cant say "We do have somthing for you in the future" because they are not allowed to.

They are giving a hint saying they belive they have something for us. With saying this they don't get into trouble becuase they didn't say they had something they said they believe they have something.

If they weren't sure of it...they wouldn't say it. They said "we beleive" because that's probably all there allowed. I'm sure Suzuki (or whoever) was aware of what they said before they said it, and unless its definitely going to come, they wouldn't have said it.

I am wondering if somehow, they got the funds to make the game, but not from Sega. Because there's been so many convincing hints the past couple of months, and the only doubt I had in my mind was getting the money. Or else sega let them use some of their recent profits.

It's hard to tell. Hopefully we get more news shortly...
