suzuki-san said they already had the story line completed so maybe if sega inst willing to make the 3rd game or even a video... they could release a book?... sounds lame.. but they already have the story so why keeping it to them..

I love Shenmue more than everything, but I hate books! Even with Shenmue 3 story.

How can you hate books. Books (and games like Shenmue) are like the only things in life that can really teach you. You don't learn shit in school, it's worthless. School just looks good on a resume for some reason.

i dont think so, if there is no Shenmue 3, then i dont think Yu Suzuki would put his effort into ending the story without the game. But im positive there will be Shenmue 3, so we have nothing to worry about, just think positive

Ehh, maybe, but hoping for Shenmue 3 the game, i think we would want Shenmue 3 just a little more, lol. I wouldnt really want to know how the story ends, if i didnt get to do it, well i would, but it wouldnt be the same.

A movie would be cool. Or even like, a graphic novel. Part of what made bothe Shenmue games cool was how visual it was, doing all the moves, seeing all the locales, people's facial expressions, etc. I don't think a novel would really work as well, since it'd require FAR more text and description that the Shenmue games have offered us. A graphic novel, on the other hand, is, like Shenmue, a largely visual affair with dialogue.

At any rate, that's what I think. First post. Long-time lurker, finally registered ;)

I'd hate the idea of a CG movie. At least a book doesn't tease my mind over playing the actual game. A comic would be cool too. And/Or releasing it free over the internet. It would have to be the best damn comic book I ever read though. It'd have to be x10 better drawn than those fanmei/chai etc. comics already made.

Edit: I think they should make a CG comic.

But if its not a game I will still be pissed.

To make a book or graphic novel is really taking the easy way out. Im certain that the conclusion will be in the form of a game and hopefully it will come soon.
