That's just the DC fanboy talking in you. SEGA's lineup is phenomenal this year, do you even know what half of those titles are? VT3, VF5, Condemned, Total War, MADWORLD, Alpha Protocol, Infinite Space (Infinite Line), Bayonetta, Sambe de Amigo, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, Phantasy Star Universe, Valykyria Chronicles all either did really good, got rave reviews, or are looking great, or all of the above. Just because SEGA doesn't make sequels to their best games, doesn't mean they can't release great games.
Thanks for another positive POV
That's pretty much all we are getting at. We wanna see the real Sega back, not the shell of a company we see now.
I'm sure many people will still enjoy SEGA's current and upcoming games, but then another many won't. Their games today just don't capture that quality that SEGA once had. Nowhere near.
They are good games, just not GREAT games.
I can see where you are coming from, Valkyria Chronicles is regarded as their best RPG since Skies, and it being praised a lot by critics. I wouldn't be surprised if that game had that 'magic'. VF5 was just as good as any other VF game so that lives up to the legacy.
Sega now owns Creative Assembly, and the Total War series is regarded as some of the best strategy games ever, and consistently get rave reviews.
I still think they make and release great games, not everything is gold, and some games are rubbish (Iron Man for example), but to ignore everything they do would be to miss out on some great games I think. Still, I don't want to start an argument or anything, just my 2 Cents.
Oh and as for SEGA's financial losses, I think thats mainly from the Arcade side of the business which is suffering in Japan, but their home releases are doing pretty well. Not sure on that, so I might be wrong.
