Shenmue Dojo

I will make a decision one way or another. I just hope the 3 spaces get taken by someone and we get another 30k into the kitty.

I am willing to do the 10k dinner, and take a fellow dojo member with me, if he/she is willing to split the cost. I would need some guarantees that they can pay as I can't afford it all by myself.

Don't forget, the Monaco one also means you can attend the very first event that Shenmue III will be publicly shown at as well.

From what I have heard though, it will only be the backers who will plan a section of the game with Yu. Not the friends. They will just be at the dinner. Not confirmed, but makes sense.

Sounds like friend will join meeting to me:

"Bring a friend to participate in a Shenmue 3 project meeting with Yu-san in the medieval and marvelously scenic town of Eze, followed by a dinner party."

Make sure you take a friend who's a fan of Shenmue then. Otherwise you'll just have to drop kick him off the top of a building when he starts rambling on about how Shenmue needs some kind of CoD style combat.

See, I emailed to find out more info on the dinners a
in regards to who you bring. It was more in relation to the jacket you receive, and I was told that only the backer gets the jacket and the friend just gets to attend the dinner. So perhaps for this your friend will be allowed to attend the planning session also. I would try and find out about that since it would make a difference if you were going to bring a Dojo member/Shenmue fan.

If it's 6 people together trying to plan out a story I am happy I have switched. I still think Japan is more tailored for me. Plus the scripts would be unreal to hold and own.

Plus I can still go to Monaco Magic. I'm registered and it would be am awesome event.

It's just 1 day (27th Feb), right? You flying there? I had a look at London-Monte Carlo flights, £315! I can fly to Mexico for that much! Train is £120 but I'm thinking it'll prob be best in my case to make a few days stop somewhere like Lyon first to make the trip worthwhile.

Lol no I was looking into flying to Nice (Cote d'Azur Airport). Around £80-£100 each way
