adding the extra tier is a great idea, while its out of my price range there are plenty of people out there with large disposable incomes. adding an extra tier can only be good for the kickstarter.
If they could add one more tier between $500 - $3000, such as a $750 one where you get some replica mirrors or something I'd probably upgrade to that!
the more options at as many price points as possible = more money.

I expect them to make more tiers between $500 and $3000. Really what remains is what your prize/gift will be.
It's way too much for me but it's a neat one to give for those willing to spend so much.
