Hi, lurker here.

This sounds like a lovely gesture. I would be more than happy to contribute to a GoFundMe.

Someone please ask Cedric on twitter when the next time he'll be in Japan at the YS Net offices? Tell him we have a special and delightful surprise for him as fans of the series.

How about we do a collage of everyone holding up a word/character that makes up a phrase, like 皆さん, 頑張って! (Minasan Ganbatte! Everyone do your best!) similar to this:

Then we can print that onto a blank card, and maybe get everyone's signature printed on the back?

I do not mean to sound frugal... And when others chip in it may only be a few dollars each... But when you were referring to a fruit basket, I was imagining something massive with cut up shaped pieces and a decorative hallowed out watermelon bowl, something cute and nice. But unless those are some really great bottles of wine, what you have there is basically $20 worth of fruit in a basket... No meats, cheeses or anything else?

The flowers seem like a decent price though.

Fruit in itself is considered a luxury item in Japan.

Combined with the wine and it's the perfect gift.

I'd go for something more practical like a nice bottle of alcohol as I know Japanese in general love their booze.

I know for sure Yu would appreciate it. RIght Mr. Suzuki?

Anyway I'm more than glad to help out on the GoFundMe for anything you guys are deciding on.

Edit: Never mind. Just saw the other page. I'm in.

I would suggest refraining from collecting any money until you've completely established what it will be used for and how the gift is getting there.

I would love to contribute, but not while there's still risk of it being a black hole into someone else's wallet.

Got ya. Let's get all of the logistics out of the way.

Do we mail the gifts to Ys net or do we have someone like Switch show up and deliver them for us?

I think it should be by mail, because if someone shows up they might feel obligated to interact with that person for a while when they need to be working - or they might reluctantly have to ask an uninvited person to leave. Mail will get it to them in a way that they are already prepared to handle.

Sounds like a plan. If we mail it directly from the online shop that might make it hard to have that card customized in a personal manner. So we might have to go with a generic card if it's available.
