Shenhua...

Postby Dshiferaw » Thu Jul 21, 2005 1:40 pm

Well, after seeing some flash backs at the end of Shenmue II its pretty obvious that there are some inconsistencies. How come Shenhuas house looks so different? How come the Shenmue Tree grew so tall in the short amount of time that Shenhua was about 10 till she was 16?

The answer is becoming more clear to me. Since i dont have a rational explanation how this happens, I can only say that Shenhua travels through time somehow. I mean, its pretty obvious she was born during the Tang dynasty. THis is evident in that her real parents were nobles who lived in Baliu village (the nobles who who were perhaps expelled by the emporer). In addition, if ytou ask Shenhua what Bailu village looks like, she says that there are ancient walls from the castles that were built during the Tang dynasty. The description probably fits the flashback seen as well. Another piece of evidence is how Louyang gives her a nostalgic feeling? How could she remember a city that only flourished during the Tang Dynasty? Another piece of evidence is that there have been released picutes in Shenhua is different clothing....like the one seein in this BS cover of shenmue 3

It actually looks more reminicient of the clothes she wears in the flashback and that of her parents. It is the clothing of nobles from the Tang dynasty from which she is obviously apart of.

Its hard to say whether she was somehow reincarnated in the future of someohow traveled time because we do not know when exactly she made the 'time change' . All we know was that she was sent foward in time to someone who was the decendent of the ones who made the mirrors....and that she was sent to be some sort of partner for ryo.....

lol....this is some deep shit man

any other ideas?

That's a possible theory, but, she could have just been born in Luoyang...in the flashback, it looks as if there are other Shenmue trees as well. Although, I think some importance is placed in that one specific tree...if there are more than one Shenmue tree, what makes them so special?

It's possible that Shenhua is the reincarnate of some ancient spirit talked about in the legend. I feel that mystics are involved more in Shenmue III than in the previous two.

*sigh*
It is a possibility that she's been reincarnated, but travelling through time? I laughed my ass off when I heard that.

Worst. Theory. Ever.

Well it sounds crazy but you all evidence points to that because her earliest memories are of things that happened during the Tang dynasty........I mean its pretty obvious she lived in both times so it HAS to either be traveling through time or being reincarnated....its not that farfetched man

Well it's obvious that she has some kind of power from the early movies of this game. Traveling through time, not likely but who knows. The story has grown so much from the first game there is no telling what will happen next. Just when you think you have a grasp on things, something new pops up and makes you change your views. The game is great b/c it's not always so predicable.

I mean, what other reasoning is there really

she has MEMORIES of something that happened during the TANG DYNASTY okay..... and look at her house when she was born!!!!! How is that not a long time ago man???

I mean something is obviously up with that, you have to know.

You're not the only one who came up with the idea of Shenhua being a time traveler.
We've talked about it a couple of times in the past. Being a fiction, anything could be
possible, though I don't think you can say it's "evident." I believe the location where
her parents give her the name is not the same place where she lives now.

There is definitly a link between Shenhua and the past besides what is said in the game. Take a look at the following pictures, there must be a reason why she is shown in such lavish clothings. The images below speak for themselves, the first one clearly shows her in imperial clothing and what looks like a temple or palace in the background.
