The main thing I would like is a really good, thick hardback artbook, which contains art from all three games. The artwork in the games is so good, I would be really pleased with just this. Though, a making of DVD would be great too.

A book like that would have to be sold separately. They do it a lot in gaming. I would buy it even tho I don't think the art in Shenmue is all that note worthy but still get it just because it's an artbook of a series I love.

Ah good topic. Many of the ones mentioned would be in my list too, including an art book and maybe a making of DVD. Other that I think some kind of figurine would be pretty cool. Of Ryo himself or another important character. Maybe making it random which character figurine you get would be good, just like with those gamer cards in that magazine yonks ago.

Suppose an artbook would be good. Since it seems to be quite a while away, i will just have to look at my artbook until another gets released \:D/

If they took the care this one did I would be all over it. Not just the art.
Notes by the devs. The legacy of the Xeno name. The history of this fictional world. So detailed. We all know Shenmue is detailed to the point of blood types of NPC's. Shenmue would be perfect for this sort of thing.

A special edition case, like a steelbook. Also I would like, a small artbook, a small written dedication from Yu Suzuki to the fans, a little poster, a "making of" or "behind the scenes" DVD explaining the difficulties of financing Shenmue and stuff, and maybe a little Zippo lighter or some kind of goodie like that.

I think Master Kyodai's idea of having the soundtrack on cassette tape is pretty cool.

I think Sega could make an absolute mint selling Shenmue 3 as collectors editions. Especially as I said and South Carmain mentioned, having different versions of the CE. Sega know how loyal the Shenmue fanbase is and I'd certainly buy a 'good' and 'bad' edition as I'm sure many here would. True it'd be a bastard robbing move on Segas part but it'd work.

There have been a few CE's to come with good quality artbooks, though. I think the European MGS HD collection's CE was the most recent one I can think of, a big beautifully presented hardback book.

I'm not a fan of all these multiple CE releases, though. It's just annoying and a cheap way to get more money out of punters. I rather just have one good collectors edition or none at all.

Of course it's a cheap way to get more money, but Sega need more money and fools like me will buy it!
