I donated. When I watched the announcement, my reaction was beyond ecstatic. My wife came up to me afterwards, afraid of getting hit by a stray pillow and said, "Here is $100. Happy Father's Day." Getting my name in the credits! Had my first child this year AND Shenmue III Kickstarter? Best year of my life!

Not donated and won't be doing so. I just don't agree with some of the T&C's of Kickstarter and have said unless they change it I won't donate to anything. I'll be buying this the first day I can though on consoles.

II just want to say congratulations and thank you to everyone that contributed.
It's ironic that back when I played these games so many years ago it would've never been possible to me to donate in the same way I'm able now.

There have been many cases where a Kickstarter project has been funded and then a game or product has got canceled and the people who donated never got their money back. For instance if Yu couldn't make the game and it got canceled either he feels like a nice guy and pays you back himself or you're out of pocket. The creators on Kickstarter are under no obligation to fulfill what they promise. At least if I order a game on Amazon and it get's canceled I haven't payed out for it.

If it was guaranteed 100% that I get what I pay for or my money back I'd donate instantly.
