Keeping Regular Contact with Yu Suzuki and Pitching Ideas

As I am sure many of you have noticed, there has been a huge influx of new topics and amazing ideas for what Shenmue 3 can be. However, other than Kickstarter, how can we convey succinct and good ideas to Suzuki instead of a bunch of random bombardment of messages which could become a mess?

I think what we need to do is every month or maybe every yearly quarter the dojo needs to have some sort of get together either with Suzuki himself or someone on the team. Honestly, almost like a google hangout where each meeting we have the top 5-10 new ideas and present them to the staff. I mean lets be honest, the dojo is the best Shenmue community and what better way to make Shenmue better than by getting direct input straight from the people who know the game just as well as the developers.

Unfortunately, I do not know of a way to organize this, but maybe Yama or someone who can get in contact with Suzuki can pitch this plan. What do you guys think?

We have no way to keep contact with Suzuki-san besides twitter and the communication on the Kickstarter is slow. We need to brainstorm!

Exactly. I mean obviously the selling point of kickstarter is that they get the fans involved through surveys and polls and stuff. However, with such a unique project like Shenmue, I do not think the standard kickstarter fare will do it justice.

I'm always a bit sceptical when it comes to considering and including suggestions and opinions of fans. To a certain degree it of course can improve the experience a lot but often people want things in games which just don't fit at all or would just be too complicated in the end. You can already see it in the kickstarter comments, there's a flood of mostly very weird and unrealistic suggestions for the game and I hope Yu Suzuki won't be influenced too much by it (again, to a certain degree I like it, too) and will provide his vision in the end, not a strange mixture of fan ideas.
