At last Shenmue 3 is the most funded video game Kickstarter ever!

What's more, Shenmue 3 is already the 8th most funded Kickstarter project in the history of crowdfunding. At 5.7 million Shenmue 3 will beat the Veronica Mars movie, taking 7th place. With a little extra surge in the last few hours Shenmue 3 might even exceed 6.2 million, beating Pono Music to claim 6th place.

Regardless, Shenmue 3 has already claimed the highest honour of any video game Kickstarter. This is a day of vindication for all Sega fans - to let the whole world know that Shenmue is back!

Obviously they won't drop $40M. But I could see them match our funds with $5.5M.
