Well, I'd love to be to be able to feed the carps in the little pond next to the house. Just throw food in there and watch them eat.
Completely pointless? yeah. Just one more detail to have fun with when passing the time or waiting for an appointment.

If Sega should create modern incarnations of Shenmue 1 and 2, no matter how, I'd love to see taking over my savegame from Shenmue 1 to Shenmue 2 and from Shenmue 2 to Shenmue 3.

100% agree with this, if Yu could collaborate with Sega to make it happen it would be a HUGE selling point for the entire series. Do modern games even do something like that?

Anyway to the people saying that there's 100% gonna be save transfer to Shenmue 3, Yu Suzuki said in a interview that atm it's impossible.

We don't want Sega to fuck it up and we don't want a game that's going to cost them much to port. Let's keep it simple, an emulator-wrapped port to PC/PS4, that runs at 1080p (or more) in widescreen is really all we need. Basically nullDC but bug free.

(If they give the file format that they're using to Yu et al, they can make Shenmue 3 saves work with 1&2.)

Agree with the bolded, it's an essential rule if we want to make an impact with our suggestions, the features requested have to be simple to implement.

I don't agree with the second part tho, the gameplay is outdated and misses some features that all modern games have. If they release a straight port with HD graphics it will fail to attract new blood.

If it happens, all I really want is:

Upscale.
Widescreen.
Time wait function added to Shenmue 1.
Improved camera, particularly during fights.

That's the bare minimum for me. Anything else would just be a bonus. I don't even need a retexture. The visuals hold up very well, like most things on Dreamcast, far better than other 3D games of the era in my opinion.

P.S.

Oh and for the PC version: native controller support with proper button prompts in-game.

I want it to be the same old Shenmue 1 and 2 just with HD graphics, the QTEs, etc.

As in Shenmue 2 there where arcade machines not from 86, maybe we could see a few bonus Sega games hidden in some buildings somewhere,
That would be great!!

Maybe a super special hidden ending in which Ryo gathers all seven Chaos Emeralds and kicks Lan Di's ass big times.

Like some sort of magic door somewhere, and you can play old SEGA gems which would cost say 2,5 dollars per game..

I would really like to see a megadrive somewhere and a rack of games,
Like:
Thunderforce
Revenge of Shinobi
Sonic 3
Phantasy star 2
Etc

I would like an option to have Ryo with only his pants on.

Required feature:

Better controls, non-tank option. Leave in the old controls as "classic controls" as an option.

Optional features:

Passport models in game.

Japanese voice option for both. This is hard or impossible if you've played the Undub, though. The English version added dialogue that wasn't in the original. So characters stand there without voices but with subtitle dialogue popping up at the bottom. So that means a lot of work for a game like Shenmue 1, because they certainly aren't going to record more Jp dialogue, and they certainly aren't going to be fiddling with the script like that given its enormous volumes. Just too much work. Hopefully they have the Jp voice track with Jp subtitles though, for those of us who know Jp and want to play that way.

Modern lighting system ripped from the PS3 Yakuza games.

Is the convertion from 4:3 to 16:9 so easy??

Wouldnt want to have stretched out faces etc!!!!

A bit more modern with higher texture rate and 60fps and some dynamic lighting wouldn't hurt obviousilly.

The convertion from.4:3 to 16:9 better be good, that is the most important one and the upscaling offcourse!

Nice suggestions guys, keep 'em coming.

When the remasters get announced we make 1 official message including the most requested features and spam Sega with it! :)
