^ Shit, I didn't even THINK about that when I pledged again to the Slacker Backer

I ended up pledging $100 to the Kickstarter to get a copy of the game, the phone call ability and my name in the credits. I later pledged another $13 to the slacker backer to get the digital soundtrack. I did that because if I remember right, the soundtrack didn't show up in the Kickstarter until the $160 range.

In a side note, I'm actually kind of surprised that the Shenmue 3 trailer that was released last month wasn't enough to have people push past the $7 mil mark, let alone the $6.8 mil mark. I really like what was shown but I guess most don't have the faith.

It's probably an awareness issue. I dunno if even a fraction of the people who saw the progress video on YouTube even knew you could still contribute to the game.

Not that it's really essential now. Whatever's coming from Deep Silver's pockets is going to outstrip whatever the Slacker Backer site has made, and will make until it finally closes.

I didn't think about that but you're right. There was no mention of the continuing ability to contribute if someone wanted too.

Do you suppose that the slacker backer from the point Deep Silver joined up is moot? Now I'm curious as to why the slacker backer is still active. They should probably just close it out and call it good.

Every extra bit of funding helps, but Deep Silver's money is clearly going a lot further seeing how it's significantly expanded the scope of the game.

Not that the Slacker Backer funds are useless. Nobody knows how YSnet are using them, but maybe it's paying overtime hours for contractors, or being kept as a lump sum for hiring more staff for the remaining duration of development, etc.

At this point getting the SB funds to $7 million would just be a symbolic achievement more than anything. I'd love to see it happen before they shut it down, though.

It's updated manually, so it's in the hands of whoever's job it is to change the numbers, which could mean something as simple as just not having gotten around to doing it. Perhaps they'll update it come the next progress report?

300$ has been the average daily donations for the last 3 months. If it continues that way, we should hit 6,955,000 by Christmas 2018. We would need $425 everyday to hit the 7M$ mark. If the kickstarter upgrades show up, we can easily do it
