Personally, I'm not holding out for anything at PSX but if they do have anything, I hope the production quality of whatever they choose to show is to a decent standard this time, otherwise nobody outside of the existing fanbase are going to take it seriously.

I think that's why Gio and Adam were in Tokyo recently. I thought the E3 presentation itself was really well done, and I think that was because Sony was involved. Things like having Yu's voice with English subtitles, avoiding showing the derpy looking early Ryo model or the placeholder dubbing, using the classic font, etc. vs. the choices made for the Awesome Japan Kickstarter videos highlight this.

Yeah I wouldn't expect monthly updates close to public events such as MAGIC 2016, E3 2016, TGS 2016, etc. They'll be busy working on presentations for such events, no point in wasting time compiling screenshots or videos for just a few people when they can dedicate their efforts to attracting a wider audience to get more sales and increase chances of Shenmue IV.

It's not just 'a few people', though, is it? There were nearly 70,000 Kickstarter backers.

Putting together a presentation of this month's work is still work from someone who's actively developing.

Don't sweat it.. There wouldn't be smiles all round when Sony visited if YsNet & Neilo weren't making good progress.

You've misread my post. I said it wouldn't be difficult to let backers know updates won't be monthly, as promised.

An update saying there isn't an update is better than no update at all.

Actually if they just show us the environment videos that they have been presenting in china, then it would be quite enough for an update. Why not do that...

I wouldn't sweat the update being late too much. We know production is going swimmingly, so it's likely a deliberate move to hold back information for a relevant date (either PSE, or an end of year blow-out by Christmas).

Who knows? It may appear this week, it may not.

I still hope for an Update von the Playstation Experience to get a last boost for the paypal-compaign ...

Maybe we will get then a bigger chrismas-update for november and december ;)
