Yes. PSX starts at 10:00 am Pacific (GMT -8), but Peter will be starting the stream before that to do a quick playthrough of What's Shenmue. After PSX we'll be premiering my latest creation, Shenmue II: The Movie.

Peter, will you be broadcasting the conference audio along with your commentary? I noticed in the Shenmue III GT reaction video that they didn't do that for whatever reason.

Yes I've caused a bit of confusion across social media with the GMT start time. The correct times are:

9am PT / 11am CT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT

This is the start time of the Dojo Twitch stream, 1 hour before PSX begins. Quick playthrough of What's Shenmue just to allow people to get settled in, and basically use the playthrough as a present show hype builder for PSX


I will have the conference audio on the channel. It's something that I will need to amend live to find the right valance so anyone in chat can help with that. I will be listening through headphones so there will be no feedback, it will just be a case of perfecting the audio levels of both myself and the conference feed. But it's not difficult to do.

If one of the mystery panels on Saturday ends up being Shenmue related, are you prepared to revise your schedule on the fly? (According to the site the panels will also be streamed.) I'm not really sure what they could possibly do, but it doesn't hurt to leave room for good things to happen. At the end of the Shenmue postmortem in 2014, it did say "To be continued..." although I don't know if it would be appropriate to follow that up with one for Shenmue 2 at PSX instead of GDC where the first one was.

That was just a riff on the game's ending. It was later confirmed that there wasn't going to be a second one for Shenmue II. In fact the postmortem included some aspects of the second game - the Guilin vegetation and Kowloon apartments come to mind. But the main point of the exercise was to show other developers how a groundbreaking game was created from scratch, and that obviously applies more to the original than the sequel.

My first post here to say that I really enjoyed the stream and will follow it weekly. It even made me pick up the game again, I'll go through it at my own pace and tune in to the stream to see if I missed stuff (I probably will).

anyway.. I checked gdi's and cdi's from links provided, and had no problem, no notebook textures glitches, no crashes, everything was fine. Does the same happens with original pal gdi's? ..or does it happened to anyone else?
