Pretty good I must say, with no criticism towards the screenshots and no mentioning of any photoshop foul as far as I know, focusing mainly on the PC pre-order and Yu's comments on how his life at the moment is all Shenmue day and night.

Here is a sample of the views of the always understanding Canadian media:

Yep, this update has been presented pretty well overall by the sites I've read.

The only issues I'd raise with some of the reporting is factual inaccuracies, like giving the impression that for the first time since the Kickstarter, Shenmue III is now available to pre-order, but only on PC. Or the claims that Ys Net has been radio silent since July 2015 until this update suddenly came out of nowhere. Things that the tiniest amount of research would clear up, if gaming journalism was a real thing.

But as Shenmue fans we have to pick our battles, so I'll be content with the fact they're at least not overtly bashing the game and its director this time. :D

I was talking about this echochamber, most of the comments of the regular gaming media are pretty good.

Ahh, I see.

Yeah, the problem that sometimes occurs here is that every opinion is dissected back and forth for days. It's the nature of a dedicated forum really, because once you're here there's not much else to do but continue the hot debate of the moment, whereas on other websites and platforms people are more likely to take a deep breath and move on to something else.

It's a strength as well of course, because it means ideas are examined in more depth and often refined or expanded upon for the greater good. And it's always useful to understand opposing viewpoints if they haven't at first made themselves clear. But it does sometimes mean the circular arguments drag on unnecessarily, and one person's negative view is given more weight and exposure than it probably warrants. This is compounded by the feeling that, in a close-knit community, each individual is important, whereas in larger melting pots no one ultimately cares what some random stranger thinks. :)

Sometimes I wonder if people (journalists) have learnt to read.

Destructoid article:
https://www.destructoid.com/grab-your-f ... 5052.phtml

The team is working on the main scenarios and also beginning both motion capture and voice tests.

Kickstarter update #63:
Main game scenarios are nearing completion, motion capture tests are well under way, and voicing tests with the cast have begun.

Sounds exactly the same to me.

This Spanish site is including old images as being in the new update, and seems to think the game is being made by WWE 2K17 developer Yuke's. :-k

Kotaku's rolled in with the usual sadly. Suggest not even giving them the click/view.

Well I used to, but I will never do it again. There is so much negativity in most of those comments sections, regarding Shenmue that made me very mad and sad at the same time. This is why I joined the Dojo. There are a lot of passionate Shenmue fans here, so it's really nice to see the support and praise that it receives and deserves. :D
