A glimpse of a new illustration for Shenmue III plus some original images / documents from the days of working on "Virtua Fighter RPG" / Shenmue I & II.

These are from a new Japanese-language interview with Yu Suzuki & Katsuhiro Harada (from the Tekken series) published online at denfaminicogamer.jp.

Regarding an English translation of the Shenmue-related parts of the article, I am working on this and will post up a separate thread about it once ready.

For now, here are the Shenmue-related images from the article:

That's cool will you be able to use the washing spot in Shemmue III and is the breaking tile minigame in Shenmue III and the Tomato Convenient store?

this should v been a kickstarter update? this is no photoshopping or any bullshit we got previously. this is raw material that even shows a spoiler of a very good wanted mini game inside the game. i also like how the market place is.

Well Yu doesn't give away anything in the interview about whether these will show up in Shenmue III or not (apart from the first photo of the Tulou). So it is up to your imagination!

Neat. I guess they've started scanning stuff for the art book.

The Google Translate version of Yu's bio is hilarious.

The latest work "Champagne III" will be released on PC and PS 4 in December 2017.

Champagne III. Karim was right!

Awesome. I look forward to a good translation by some gracious person, as I'm sure Google translate is less than in context lol. Though, it's amusing to read its attempts:

Suzuki said:
"Shenmue" together with a primary architect of acquaintance, because I make a really habitable room.

Harada said:
 goody.

2. re^placing shenmue 3 with champagne 3

so it basically will be winemore 3 and shomewine 4

I can't wait to read the translations of this. A part-time job breaking shit sounds rather unique, so it'll be interesting to see how they make that make sense.

The intentionally destroying a bridge sounds to me like a QTE we'll be getting in III.

Although none of this has been confirmed to be in the game, it feels surprisingly close to a spoiler...

I think...I may completely ignore this game from now on. I went into shenmue 1 and its sequel completely blind. I think I better do that again.
