Maybe it's the character perspective system and allows you to switch from Ryo to Shenhua on the fly? The fact there's room for a third eye in Ren seems to support that.

I have a crazy theory about the characters.

Let's assume we live in a perfect World and SEGA is going to release Shenmue HD.

Is there a tiny chance that they would use Unreal Engine 4 for the remasters?
And now, the crazy thought... is there a tiny possibility they would share the main characters models with Shenmue 3?

Can you imagine the E3 2017 where a Shenmue 3 trailer with the new characters makes an appearance, followed by a trailer of Shenmue 1&2 HD showing the same models (and why not, the possibility to transfer your save file to episode 3)?

I know it's totally "fantasy Shenmue", but in a perfect World, that's how it should happen! :king:

Has anyone noticed that this tiny patch of pixels here is 1 shade lighter than it should be. This is absolutely unacceptable. Bad update. Game may as well be cancelled.

I was just taking a break from playing Zelda breath of the wild and the first website I search is Shenmuedojo and when I see Kickstarter update 65 on the front page I was so happy. The game is coming up really nice.

Completely agree with you, man. And just look at that vase on the right - my mother bought a vase just like that in the mid-90s, so what the hell is it doing in 1987?! I've already deleted the demo and left a scathing review on Steam.

Just off of stream and drunk pausing though the update video....

So not only does Excite QTE 3 have multiples which stack up the points, but if you pause it at the right time you can see the coding on the developers screen, and this seems very interesting:

Since we know we have the "character perspective" system hinting at playing as ShenHua, could the "young female" in the coding suggest that you will be able to play the arcade machines as ShenHua and not Ryo? Will Ryo teach her? Could it be a date of sorts?

Fuck, this game!
