I don't want an update at all. It increases the chance that something is in store for E3.

I think the PSX no-show is a bigger indicator towards being at E3 than not updating the Kickstarter. Doing a games press event is definitely on their minds, but I guess there's some indecision on when to pull the trigger.

The positive side to that is that they've got to do it eventually. E3 2017 just might be when they do.

If they are going to update for this month later tonight is the last day to do it. Around what time do they usually update?

Im going to be asleep during those hours. I'm really hoping for another small update since they will probably going to go silent till E3.

I'm gonna be a little bit annoyed if we don't get updated this month or next month. That hiatus they took was irritating. I'd rather that not happen again.

I'm sure we will get an update. They tend to record the rev room stuff in bulk.

Someone said they don't update on the weekends so we might have to wait for next week.

Monday would be May 1st so another "month" with no update.

I don't care, I love it. Let them work hard and stay silent. I love watching people flip out and talk bollocks, when all the while, it's just building up the emotion to explode if anything gets revealed at E3.

With the last update I feel like they gave away too much. Shenhua house looked like a mess. So it probably means the Chiyoumen came to her house looking for the Phoenix mirror.

I disagree there could be a update next month.

Based on Corsi's comments when I talked to him at PSX in December, I'm not expecting anything at E3 unless they announce in advance. He made it clear that as a backer funded project, he felt that the backers should be hearing news directly from the dev team and not from Sony. (The way it happened though, my interpretation was that was just his opinion of how they should handle it.) When they showed Shenmue 3 footage at MAGIC last year, we knew in advance that they were going to do it. It doesn't really hurt them to tell us in advance if they're going to have a trailer at E3. The media will still cover the reveal whether it's a surprise or not because it's still going to be new information.

Personally, I'm fine with them not releasing new information about the game on a regular basis, but it would be nice if they'd communicate that they won't be doing that. At this point if they're still planning to be finished in December (which I think is unlikely) they would need to have their development sprint milestones planned out for the rest of the year. It's not unreasonable for them to do this. When I backed Double Fine Adventure, which was delayed a significant amount, they had shown the whiteboard where they tracked their schedule & milestones in multiple updates. Some spoiler sensitive stuff was blurred out, but it still gave backers a way to understand how things were moving internally without them actually showing the game. (Although in that case they did show the game, just in spoiler free context)

I'm not saying that anyone should agree with this, but I'd find the schedule information to be interesting and it'd be pretty easy to provide.

It's possible we won't get any update until after the 8th of May, since Golden Week begins at the 1st of May in Japan.

Monday & Tuesday are not actually official public holidays though, so there's still a chance - assuming they're planning to put out an update.
